Steel Recycling Receptacles
All steel parts are powder coated in a polyester based formulation with excellent light and weathering resistance. When used outdoors an undercoating should be considered. The STX-41-RCY unit was designed specifically for recycling and has three openings, each with a 42-gallon capacity. In addition, our other STX steel receptacles can be used as recyclers, with capacities ranging from 11 to 68 gallons (for further information, see our STX Series product sheet). The vinyl identification labels are optional.
The STX-41-RCY is constructed of 14-gauge steel; the top is fiberglass. It comes standard with three 42-gallon polyethylene liners, a locking latch on the unloading door, and black injection molded rubber feet. Cast steel anchor feet or aluminum anchor straps can be specified at an additional cost instead of rubber feet. If a 3 x 53 gallon capacity is needed, the larger liners may be substituted. If so, it will be necessary to eliminate the front unloading door and unload the unit by lifting off the top.
The STX-11 and STX-22 models are constructed of 18-gauge steel; STX-27, STX-41 and STX-53 are 16-gauge. Standard color for STX-22-WP polyethylene tops is charcoal. The aluminum tops are hardcoat anodized in dark grey. Units come standard with an internal ring to support trash bags unless optional liner is specified. Use of liners reduces the capacity.
